Pastel Rainbows & Unicorns Themed Dessert Table for a Baby Girl’s 1st Birthday Celebration

This one is high on our list because we are dreamers and we believe in UNICORNS!!!

As mentioned in this year’s National Day Parade, unicorns are special creatures and they only appear to those who dare to dream! Yes, we love to dream!! And we love to let our imaginations run wild!! We love to explore all sorts of unique themes and setups because unique means one of a kind, different from others, not mainstream, not simple, not ordinary but special, just like a unicorn! This is how we are differentiated from the rest!

Specifically for this setup, we have put our hearts and minds into it, just so that we can bring out the magical 7th dimension for our clients to experience the existence of the angelic unicorns! ;p

Rainbows and unicorns will never go wrong, especially when combined with the magical aura of iridescence! Not sure if you know what we mean but yup, only special people sees them! Hahaa!! Ok, without further ado… Let us follow that rainbow and ride with it!

A Kate Spade Inspired Dessert Table for a Granny’s 90th Birthday Celebration

One is never too young or too old to have a dessert table for their birthday celebration. In fact, when we did this dessert table for PoPo, both the young and the old had a great time eating, chit-chatting and taking photos around the dessert table.

A dessert table is not just about candies and desserts, it helps to bring people together since it can also be used as a photo booth and is definitely a conversation starter.

 

A Vintage Tea Party / Shabby Chic / Cath Kidston Inspired Dessert Table for An Annual Corporate Event

Retrolicious was the theme requested by our clients for their annual corporate party. Unlike the commonly seen retro disco ball theme, we decided to present a different style of retro by creating a Shabby Chic / Vintage Tea Party theme setup!

This dessert table design was Cath Kidston inspired and filled up with bite-sized treats and candies which were wiped out within 30 minutes!

This time we worked with a different baker for our desserts. There were more patisseries than usual, making the dessert table oh so pretty and tempting!

A Blush & Gold Whimsical Fairytale Themed Wedding Candy & Dessert Table at InterContinental Hotel Singapore

A very happy new year to all!! Hope everyone had a great start to 2016! 😉

It was awesome for us to start our first setup with a wedding dessert table! We have always wanted to work on more wedding setups and we hope to get more enquiries for wedding dessert tables this year!

In 2011, we also held our wedding banquet at InterContinental Hotel with a candylicious buffet spread as the highlight of our wedding reception. 5 years ago, we could hardly find any vendors offering candy and dessert buffet setup services, so we had to source for our own assortments of candies, desserts and pastries from candy shops and bakers to put together our dream dessert table for our guests. We are proud to be one of the pioneers who have set the candy & dessert table trend in Singapore’s wedding scenes, as we have also inspired many others to follow suit after our wedding!  In fact, it is our own wedding that inspired us to start this business, simply because we have been there and done that ourselves!! 😀

We are so happy to be able to set up another dessert table in this same hotel 5 years later! The color theme which was given to us by our clients was blush and gold, with a little white. The bride has also requested for a dreamy looking dessert table. We were not just happy to be part of their celebration but really excited about putting up this dessert table because we have always wanted to explore with more wedding themes and this was indeed our chance!

The most challenging part of this setup was the backdrop! We had to hang the leaves and gold branches together piece by piece and dangle jars of lights on the back frame. We also illuminated the entire table and made it looked as if it was glowing! On the table, we used the marquee lights to form the ‘XOXO’ word as the centrepiece and propped up the macaron tower on a revolving cakestand at the back!

On top of that, we also added jumbo tulle balloons to the sides of the table and added tulle skirting to the table to soften the setup. By placing a bouquet of roses on top of the rustic shelves and adding a white squirrel and some rocking horses on the table, together they created a very whimsical fairytale and dreamlike setting which was perfect for the dessert table.

We are pretty sure that we have achieved the dreamy effect! 🙂

 

A Singapore Airlines Inspired Dessert Table Setup for a Baby Boy’s 1st Birthday

The airplane/pilot theme has always been a hot pick among parents. Every time we receive an airplane or pilot theme request, the first thought that came to our minds was probably because either one of the parents is working as a flight attendant or a pilot.  However, to our surprise, this client of ours chose this theme simply because of her support to Singapore Airlines. 🙂

She insisted that we work on a dark blue, gold and white color scheme for her dessert table instead of the usual American colors. It was obvious that she implied for a Singapore Airlines inspired setup! It was indeed a challenge for us, as we had to change the entire airplane setup to suit the SIA style. This was not just about making small changes, as we had to change the entire style of the setup to achieve the classy feel and repaint our props used for the airplane theme.

We were so glad that we managed to create a whole new set of props and printables, mainly self-designed. And we also worked with our designer to create a whole new backdrop, designed with the focus on a pilot boy instead of the airplane. The main focus of this setup was also on the pilot instead of the airplane. This is what differentiates the current setup from our previous ones. Besides, we also used dark blue and gold confetti balloon bouquets to bring out the luxurious feel of the entire dessert table setup.

Another Airplane Themed Dessert Table for a Baby Boy’s 1st Birthday Party

This was our 2nd airplane themed setup which we have done for a baby boy’s 1st birthday. Although different customers may request for the same theme, we always make it a point to make little changes and tweak the setup to make it different from the previous one. The differences may be great or small, but our overall goal is to make each setup as unique as possible for every client of ours.

Using the same colour scheme – blue, red and white, this time, we changed the blue to a darker navy blue. As for this backdrop, we used a printed backdrop, while previously, we worked on a handcrafted backdrop. Apart from the first setup, we also added cloud lights and a revolving globe to the dessert table. It lighted up the entire dessert table and made it the highlight of the birthday party. Additionally, we provided mini cards for our client’s guests to pen down their wishes for the birthday boy and to be put into an opened luggage.

Besides the dessert table, our client also engaged us to decorate her event venue with balloons on a separate cost. We were more than happy to contribute our ideas in decorating the hotel function room. We worked with our balloon partner and ordered 4 confetti balloon bouquets to add to each table.  At the same time, the balloons in the dessert table package were also upgraded to 2 jumbo sized balloons with tassel tails.

A Quirky But Cute Halloween Candy & Dessert Table Setup

We received a request from our client to set up this Halloween candy and dessert table just 1 week ahead of Halloween. In fact, we were already booked for a birthday event on the very same day of Halloween and we were quite reluctant to take on this Halloween request initially. On the other hand, we felt that it was also a rare opportunity to style up a Halloween dessert table since it only happens once a year and would be a letdown if we were to decline our client who is a very friendly lady. She was very easygoing with what we can provide to her for her table set up, given the short notice for our preparations. Therefore, we decided to push our limits and took on her request! 🙂

Wanting to be unique and different from the usual as we always do, we decided to stay away from the grisly, crimson and gory kind of set up. Instead, we played along the cute and quirky side by adding a little creepiness with some kooky elements onto the entire setup, as we were told by our client that the Halloween party was organised for her daughter and her friends. We hope that they liked it as much as we did!

Grocer’s Market Theme for A 2 Years Old Boy & Corporate Family Day

We love this grocer’s market setup best among all the other setups, as this is really unique and is something that not everyone would have thought of!

Nobody would have guessed that a 2 years old boy will actually like such a theme, until his mummy gave us this challenging request! In fact, she wanted a supermarket theme, but the thought of an European market with grocers selling their fresh produces along the street came to our minds instead. This was a huge set up with plentiful props and we even erected a gazebo to mimic the tentage used in flea markets and bazaars. We thought that this theme would not be as popular as the other themes, but we were so wrong! To be honest, cartoon-character themes are very popular but they are considered too mainstream. With the post of this setup on our Facebook page, the responses were so overwhelming that it shocked us! We love doing big and unique setups and we hope to get more of such requests!

This was also a setup for our client’s corporate family day. It was a 2-in-1 event where the staff celebrated their bosses’ son’s 2nd birthday, together with their own families.

In this set up, we included many candies and desserts which looks like real fruits and vegetables. As we called ourselves Be Candied Candy Buffet Ministry, our specialty is to include as many candies and sweet treats in our candy and dessert buffet table set ups, which was the reason why we stayed away from putting in real fruits and vegetables. All the items provided such as bananas, lemons, tomatoes, watermelons, apples and eggs, etc. are containers/pouches that contain candies for the guests to consume on the spot or takeaway. Even the design of the birthday cake, cupcakes, macarons and cookies were all fruits and vegetables inspired. We paid very detailed attention to every single part of the set up and this is what we will provide for all our set ups!

Even the takeaway bags were specially requested from and sponsored by LeBox.sg, since it matches the birthday boy’s name. On a side note, LeBox.sg is an online store that specialises in toddlers and kids’ gift hampers. At the end of the party, we were delighted to see our clients and their guests leaving with bags of “fresh produces” from the grocery stall!

Ariel The Little Mermaid Themed Dessert Table for A 5 Years Old Girl

Here we celebrated a little girl’s 5th birthday with her favourite Disney Princess, Ariel, The Little Mermaid, together with her family and friends. We used mainly purple, pink, teal and yellow for this theme, with lots of sea creatures inspired desserts and candies for the dessert table spread.

One of the challenges was the cake request given to Goobycakes by our client, as it was MissGoob’s first time crafting a rustic seashore cake. With the trend and demand for customize-shaped macarons, we also included the sea creatures macarons, made by Sumopocky. Both of them did a great job!

Our clients were also very sporting to dress up their daughter as a sexy little mermaid and their son as a little red crab. They look so adorable standing together! The mermaid fin was sewn by a friend of ours, while the red hair wig, bikini top and the red crab costume were self-provided by our client.
