A Nautical Themed Wedding Candy & Dessert Table at M Hotel Singapore

Over the Father’s Day weekend, we styled a nautical themed wedding candy and dessert table at M Hotel Singapore. The request for us to do up this setup came in just 1.5 weeks before the wedding day. We were a little overwhelmed by the short notice as we needed more time for preparations. Nevertheless, we took on this challenge!

The nautical designed cupcakes and fondant cookies were from Goobycakes, while the agars agars in assorted presentations were prepared by our client personally.

Besides, we handcrafted the props and got our creative juice flowing from the very start of our preparation. We brainstormed on how to present the assorted agars agars in the best way to suit the nautical theme. We do not have a centerpiece for this setup, therefore we came up with the idea to make the agar agars look like yachts after seeing a sample of a boat-molded agar agar sent to us by our client. We also made some of them to float on top of the mini life buoys in a water tank. In order to beautify the water tank to suit the wedding event, we decorated it with underwater flowers and added in toy fishes to make it look more realistic! Many guests were simply amused by the fishes!!

Besides the usual candy items, we also included Polo mints as they look very much like mini buoys. We folded paper boats and used them as containers for these mints. As the Polo mint sweet is one of the childhood candies which is now considered a retro sweet, many places are no longer selling it now. We hope it brought back some memories for those who ate it! Lol!

An Airplane Themed Dessert Table for a Baby Boy’s 1st Birthday Celebration

This dessert table style is very different from our previous wedding candy buffet setup! Usually for birthdays, we focus on a variety of sweet treats which includes cupcakes, cookies, macarons and agar agars. Needless to say, an impressive birthday cake is a must!

This time, we made it a little more interactive by separating the backdrop from the dessert table, allowing our client to capture these joyous moments with their guests and vice versa.

The desserts in this setup were handcrafted by Goobycakes! They work on cream cheese frosted cakes, which are just as pretty as the fondant ones! Over here, we paid a lot of attention in customizing each individual item starting from the pastries down to the tent card, so that it could suit the requested airplane theme.

We also provided props such as planes made out of carton boxes and a ride-on plane for the birthday boy to take photos with his guests!
