It was our pleasure to be part of this spectacular birthday party. When we received this request, the first thing that came to our mind was to make the dessert table as colorful as possible, using colors of the rainbow as the key colors for the circus carnival theme dessert table!
Our client told us that the lion was her son’s favorite animal, so we decided to incorporate the circus lion as the main character in the entire set up. Besides, we also had our collaborating baker to create a 2-tiered circus animals birthday cake and carnival related cupcakes and cookies.
The ferris wheel and carousel elements are essential for the circus carnival theme, but to bring out the carnival atmosphere in the theme, we made use of the animal character lamps to brighten up the dessert table area and added teepees to mimic the circus tentage.
To further enhance the carnival feel, we also used jumbo sized balloons filled with colorful confetti and tailed with rainbow tassels instead of the usual standard sized balloons.
Besides our dessert table, our client also engaged her own photographer to take pictures of the entire event and had an instabooth for her guests to print their pictures instantaneously. She also had a balloon sculptor going around to entertain all the kids and prepared her own goody bags to be distributed to her guests. The entire birthday party was so well-planned and put together by our client that we think she can jolly well be a party planner! ;D
